About Claire...

Claire is a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and qualified England Athletics Leader in Running Fitness, dedicated to supporting women in building strength, resilience, and confidence through movement. She works with clients both in person and online, offering tailored coaching that balances structured training with real-life needs.


An experienced trail and fell runner, Claire also leads a weekly trail-running group, fostering an inclusive environment where enjoyment and community take priority over performance metrics. Her professional approach is shaped by personal experience - navigating the challenges of peri-menopause, she understands the physical and emotional barriers that many women face in this stage of life. She enjoys developing her skills through ongoing CPD, which allows her to continually refine her practice and integrate up-to-date research into her coaching

Training should empower you to feel stronger, more confident, and capable in everyday life. My philosophy is about progress over perfection, building sustainable habits rather than chasing quick fixes. I enjoy helping clients discover what their bodies can do. Above all, I aim to make fitness inclusive, enjoyable, and adaptable, so it supports you at every stage of life.

"I started training with Claire in early April. I'm not new to regular exercise but I was looking for a more consistent approach to strength training to support my goals.
I'd booked to do the Etape Caledonia bike ride in the middle of May and had 6 weeks to build up my overall strength! Claire supported me with a weekly plan that comprised a 1:1 PT in person and a self led weights session at home. However she also planned this around my other fitness commitments and a very busy work schedule where I spend a lot of time away from home! This was supported with an App that made it easy for me to keep track. I did the ride - it was fantastic and I felt great! I was super proud of myself!
Now I'd established a training routine with Claire I didn't want to stop! Claire is fabulous for how I like to train; she is a detailed person and makes sure that I know what I'm doing, keeps an eye on my form and reminds me of the tips and tricks to be consistent with moves. She also counts my reps as I seem incapable of doing it! I have an age/menopausal related shoulder niggle and Claire has worked with me to gradually build its strength.
I hope I'm not jinxing myself but I now forget it can be a problem because it hasn't been for months! Thanks Claire, for not judging me when I have my off days and I'm tired, and for always encouraging my progress!
